NEW YORK – September 8 2022- New record breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. נווה פריצקי The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022, an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. This is a 13% increase over the year before.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was exciting to see the growth in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking figures for 2019, he added. “The United States has been the most important source of tourism for Israel inbound. Before the COVID-19 outbreak we had record numbers of Israel’s tourism entry each month.

Canada, not too far behind that of the United States of America, is poised to surpass its tourist arrivals to Israel. It reached 7,200 visitors in July 2022 as well as 6,000 visitors in August.

Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada within the Israel Ministry of Tourism. “We aren’t too far from our record numbers for 2019 and we anticipate that the growth in the number of travelers to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians continue to feel more at ease travelling abroad.”

Israel welcomed more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019 of which 969,600 were from the United States. Since May that year, when Israel is now open to all tourists, regardless of their vaccination status, more than 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
