NEW YORK – September 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country welcomed 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022 that’s a 4 percent increase from the year before and 71,000 total visitors from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from 2019.

Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. “The United States remains our most important market for Israel-bound tourism. Before the COVID-19 epidemic there was a record-breaking number of monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are thrilled to see this shift and are expecting an ongoing upward trend for months, and possibly years.

נווה פריצקי Canada is home to 7,200 tourists in July 2022, and 6,000 in August is not far behind the United States.

Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism declared that “it’s amazing to see how Canada’s tourism is rebounding.” We’re not too far from our record numbers in 2019, and we are hoping that this increase in Israel travel will continue to increase as Canadians feel more comfortable travelling across the world.”

Israel received more visitors from around the world in 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 were American. Israel’s official reopening for travellers from May 2018. The country has welcomed more than 600,400 US tourists since the time of opening.
