    Wayne Crowsley

Wayne Crowsley is an entrepreneur best known for his property development work. Crowsley is the chief executive for Knights Crossing Apartments, a firm that specializes in luxury apartments. He is a regular guest on the popular podcast “The Property Experts” and recently signed a deal to publish his first book on real estate investment.

Crowsley was raised by his adoptive parents, Kyle and Loretta Crowsley. Growing up in a house with four siblings and what seemed like never enough money, had a major impact on young Wayne Crowsley. While most of his childhood friends dreamed of becoming professional athletes or rock stars, Crowsley decided early on that he wanted to work on Wall Street. After serving as a missionary for two years, Wayne Crowsley enrolled at the University of Virginia, where he earned his MBA.

Following graduation, Crowsley went to work at a small Wall Street brokerage firm. There he met future business partner, Harold “Harry” Davidson. The two formed an instant friendship. Davidson was the youngest of six kids and could relate to being part of a big family that struggled to make ends meet. Unlike Crowsley, who had dreamed of working on Wall Street from a young age, Davidson was just working at the firm to save money. His real interest was in property development. Davidson was convinced that investing in real estate was the only way to build true wealth. Wayne Crowsley agreed and within a year and a half of first meeting each other, he and Davidson bought their first piece of land. The builder they hired proved to be inadequate, so Crowsley and Davidson ended up finishing the work themselves. That first investment taught the two young men several valuable lessons about the business. They made their fair share of mistakes but learned from them and still managed to make a profit. The two men invested in eight more properties together but it became clear over time that they each had different ideas about the type of properties that were most profitable. Davidson believed in multiple small investments on properties that could be flipped quickly. Crowsley was more interested in focusing on long term investment with one or two high end properties. Wayne Crowsley and Harold Davidson ended their business dealings but remained friends.

Wayne Crowsley wasted no time investing in a new property just weeks after ending his partnership with Davidson. Crowsley built 18 luxury apartment units on the property, registered under his newly formed company, Knights Crossing Apartments. KCA has built over 1000 apartments and townhouses over the years and won several awards for innovative designs and quality. The company is also well known for it’s sponsorship of youth sports and academic scholarships. Crowsley himself has received numerous awards for philanthropy and service to the community through his building projects.

Today Wayne Crowsley continues to serve as chairman and chief executive for KCA. Since his split with Davidson, he has never entered into any other business partnerships. During his downtime, Crowsley enjoys travel and has visited more than 50 different countries.
