    The Kerem Tunnel, Israel’s newest cycle tunnel, was constructed as a part of a 42-kilometer cycle route that runs through the capital.

    The tunnel is located along the Nahal Refaim-Emek Motza path. Its southern entrance is in Refaim Park, below Ein Laban and its northern entrance is in Nahal Ein Kerem, about half a kilometer close to the Kerem junction.

    The tunnel’s official opening ceremony, which is 2.1 kilometers long took place in Jerusalem and Heritage Minister Ze’ev Elkin Mayor Moshelion, Heritage Minister Ze’ev Elkin Avi Baleshnikov (Gihon water company chairman of the company) along with hundreds of cyclists.
