NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of travelers from the United States who visited Israel during July and August. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4 percent increase over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than 2019.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner. He stated, “It’s so exciting to witness a further increase of tourism to Israel from America, which is already reaching or surpassing our record breaking numbers of 2019”. “The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. נווה פריצקי Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak there was a record-breaking number of tourism numbers each month. We are thrilled to witness this change and are expecting an upward trend that will continue for months, and possibly years.

Just like the United States, Canada is also on track to exceed its tourism numbers in Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in July 2022 , and 6,600 in August.

We’re close to reaching our record-setting numbers for the year 2019, and we are anticipating that this increase in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians are more comfortable at ease when they travel abroad.

Israel welcomed over 4.6 million tourists in the year of 2019. 969,600 of them were of the United States. The country’s official reopening to all travelers in May has seen more than 600,000.
