NEW YORK – Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswirein July and August 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record numbers of visitors from America. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This represents a 4 percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 visitors from the United States for August 2022. This represents a 13% improvement from the year before.

Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. “The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic there was a record-breaking number of tourist entry numbers every month. We are delighted to see this shift and expect a steady upward trend for months, and possibly years.

Just like in the United States, Canada is also on track to exceed its tourist arrivals in Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6000 in August.

Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism declared that “it’s so exciting to witness how Canada’s tourism is rebounding.” “We are not too far away from our record in 2019, and we anticipate that the increase in travel to Israel will continue to grow because Canadians are more comfortable traveling internationally.”

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 were from the United States. The country’s officially reopening to travelers in May was a success, with more than 600,000.
