NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire– The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists during July 2022. It was a four percent increase from 2019, while 71,000 American tourists visited Israel in August 2022.

Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 we were celebrating record numbers of Israel’s tourism entry every month.

Not far behind in the United States, Canada is in the process of surpassing the number of tourists visiting Israel with 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6000 in August.

Israel received more than 4.6 million international visitors in the year 2019 and this included 969.600 being from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all visitors, regardless if they are vaccinated. It has already hosted more than 600,000.
