NEW YORK – Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ – The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for the number of tourists coming to Israel from the United States in July and August. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This represents a 4 percent increase over the year before and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than 2019.

“It is so thrilling to once again see an increase in tourist numbers to Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers in 2019,” stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. “The United States is our top market for Israel’s inbound tourism. Before the COVID-19 pandemic we had record-breaking number of tourists from Israel entering Israel every month. We are thrilled to have witnessed such a positive shift and expect it to continue for many months and years.”

Canada is on track to surpass Israel’s arrivals in tourist numbers by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 in August.
